The Open Way aims to make cycling information clear, practical, and fair to readers with different needs. We explain what an article can and cannot tell you, and update it when a material error comes to light.
Accuracy and clarity
We check articles for clear reasoning, consistent terminology, and claims that can be supported by the information available to us. Where a subject involves personal fit, local conditions, or differing equipment, we explain that context rather than imply one answer suits everybody. Readers can flag a possible error through the Contact page.
Independence and corrections
Editorial decisions are made for the usefulness and relevance of the subject to readers. A commercial relationship does not determine our conclusions. When we confirm a meaningful factual mistake, we correct the affected material and make the change clear where appropriate; readers may send the page and the detail in question through Contact.
Partner material and illustrations
Paid placements, sponsored material, and other partner contributions are labelled so readers can distinguish them from independent editorial coverage. Partner arrangements do not guarantee favourable editorial treatment. Some illustrations may be generated with AI; when relevant, that is disclosed, and illustrations are not presented as documentary evidence.
